Interesting article (7 short pages) describing how a Smithsonian Institution researcher worked to collect information on modern screws (propellers) for a nuclear submarine exhibit. The author hoped to exhibit an actual screw, or at least a mockup, as part of the exhibit. He spoke first with representatives from the US Navy and the Navy League and was told, as expected, that any propeller information was classified and certainly couldn't be displayed in a public exhibit viewed by millions!
But the author persisted...
